About You: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assembly Technician to join our team. If you are tech savvy and engaging, this could be the role for you! Just like our products, D2P does not fit a ‘mould’ and we encourage our staff to bring their energy to the role. You would be joining a growing business and be critical on the growth of our Australian Operations.

About the Role: As an Assembly Technician at Design to Production, you will play a pivotal role in our production process, ensuring the meticulous assembly and quality assurance of our innovative solutions. Working closely with our team of industrial designers and production staff, you will contribute to the successful deployment and operation of our cutting-edge products, ensuring that our clients' expectations are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to understand product specifications, assembly requirements, and quality standards.
  • Perform precision assembly of components, parts, and systems according to established guidelines and technical drawings.
  • Utilize a range of hand and power tools, machinery, and equipment to achieve accurate and reliable assembly results.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks at each stage of the assembly process to ensure compliance with design specifications and functional requirements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly-related issues, proposing solutions to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and best practices to create a safe and productive work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Collaborate with other departments to communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of assembly procedures and workflows, sharing insights and suggestions with the team.
  • Support the installation process of solutions, collaborating with installation teams to ensure proper setup and functionality on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in assembly, manufacturing, or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Assembly Technician, preferably within a design or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with a wide range of hand and power tools.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address assembly-related challenges.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with quality control processes and procedures is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and practices within a manufacturing environment.
