At ActronAir, we are in our element pushing the possibilities of efficiency, performance and reliability to create Australia’s best air conditioners.  We are dedicated to providing innovative solutions to meet the changing needs of our customers.Role Overview:We are seeking a keen, experienced Product Development Engineer to lead the development of systems bringing together the mechanical, electronic hardware and software design elements to support us in delivering innovative products.Key Responsibilities: Create, maintain, and communicate Product Development schedules with sufficient detail to ensure all assigned personnel and groups external to the department are aware of their tasks and due dates Prepare project feasibility report, risk management plan, NUD, Design & validation test Plans Complete DFMEA’s, Technical proposals and system functional specifications Prepare critical parts list, refrigeration components selection and draft product technical specification Plan and conduct integration testing to supports the stepwise integration of components and subsystems to achieve a total system Prepare design verification & validation plans Design and facilitate prototype units for testing Complete application simulation and reliability trials Plan and coordinate compliance and safety testing for product registration and safety requirements Document testing including detailed method, instruments used, data captured, analysis, results and conclusion. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering Additional qualifications in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning are desirable Proven experience in refrigeration equipment design, integration, and system performance diagnosis Understanding of engineering related to HVAC, e.g., heat transfer, fluid dynamics Experience in a Product Development Data analysis skills – Python, R Collaborative teamwork experience & skills.
