Product Development / Merchandising Assistant

Our company works with major retailers within Australia and overseas markets, working primarily in housewares and kitchenware.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated merchandising assistant to join our energetic product team, who will primarily work alongside the product managers.
The key responsibilities of this role are diverse and will include the following:
· Ability to manage paperwork flow of quotations, product registration and specification forms.
· Process and monitor Customer orders, including keeping customer updated on order status.
· Monitor Product Development, including reviewing product samples
· Work with in-house design team to develop packaging and product artwork.
· Attend customer meetings and be responsible for keeping clear meeting notes
· Working closely with overseas sourcing office
The successful candidate in this role will have:
· Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail
· Excellent organization and time management skills.
· Ability to work autonomously when needed.
· Skills in Microsoft Office Suite
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Some experience providing administrative support in a team environment

Previous experience in a buying or retail environment would be an advantage but not essential.
