This role is a permanent full-time position supporting accounting systems for Studio and Independent Productions in ANZ.   

Entertainment Partners (EP) is the global leader in Film & Television payroll, workforce management, residuals, tax incentives, finance, and other integrated production management solutions with offices in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand.  We are committed to supporting productions all over the world and Australia is booming! Our Australian business covers all elements of Finance and Accounting software plus offering skilled Production Accountants and dedicated Payroll Management. In 2022 EP acquired the long-established Moneypenny Services ANZ and we have gone from strength to strength.

The Product Manager will drive execution for Moneypenny Software accounting and payroll solutions for the film and TV industry. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams that are responsible for delivering industry-defining products and services that serve the entertainment industry. This may include working on the future roadmap to ensure long-term viability of current and new products for the business. The primary focus of this role is to drive customer satisfaction & refine best-in-industry solutions in an agile and real-time environment. A local IT team is ready to provide support for changes, upgrades, and new product suggestions.

Qualifications & Experience

A background as a Production Manager/Co-ordinator/Line Producer and/or Production Accountant is relevant for this position. Knowledge of the Functional processes of Production Finance and Accounting support is preferred and a keen interest and analytical bent around the products that support our industry. 100% focus on robust, adaptable products and systems is paramount.   • Aptitude and attitude will always be key but we need solid experience with the entire production lifespan and an understanding of how systems and software interface and support those functions.
  • An understanding of how Finance and Accounting functions underpin a successful Production. Products supported are Payroll and Production Acounting Software.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • This role will have a high level of interaction with Producers and you should be comfortable with growing and maintaining these relationships.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Main Tasks/duties and responsibilities:

  • Enhance and redefine existing products for Production needs and help to develop new ideas and solutions based on contact and collaboration with Production clients, Production prospects, and requests from functional teams
  • Manage full product lifecycle, from ideation through post-launch support, to
    ongoing product improvements
  • Attend and support client pitch meetings when required
  • Run discovery interviews and workshops with Clients and internal teams
  • Working with our established local Development team you will prioritise, guide and deliver solutions appropriately
  • Facilitate the product solution adoption with a cross-functional team comprised of, functional client services that may include Production Accounting, Post and/or Payroll as well as, management and legal, to prioritise and implement changes to increase adoption and remove adoption hurdles
  • Build and maintain relationships with the Producers/Clients, internal functional teams, and IT
  • Continually evaluate business case and ROI to justify investment and identify growth opportunities for EP related to the product
  • Manage the end-to-end process including coordinating swift, local hands-on testing by functional team members before release
  • Serve as the internal and external evangelist for products and services
  • Maintaining the product roadmap
