Product Manager - Cemintel (12 month fixed term contract), North Ryde NSW
The Opportunity
Due to the strong business results achieved and solid projected future growth for CSR Cemintel, we are offering an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Product Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This role forms part of the CSR Fibre Cement Category team and is uniquely positioned to influence and drive business strategy across sales, marketing, and operations.
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing product lifecycle whilst working with several cross-functional teams such as technical, supply chain, finance, marketing, and sales to drive business strategy and growth plans.
You will seek out opportunities to improve the product portfolio and engage with key customers to gather insights on the construction market, emerging trends, and new product ideas. This role will require you to have great empathy for the customer to ensure their needs and pain points are understood and addressed in the new product development process.
In a fast-paced environment, you need to have good time management, the ability to focus on what's important, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence through presentations.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the product life cycle of fibre cement products and associated systems/accessories
- Provide product support to several cross-functional teams such as technical, supply chain, finance, marketing, and sales to drive business strategy and growth plans
- Identify product gaps and gather insights on the market, emerging trends, new product ideas
- Create new product development plans to capitalise on opportunities
- Contribute to the integrated business planning process
About you
- Demonstrated experience in managing products
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence through presentations
- An eagerness to learn and establish a solid foundation of product knowledge
- Have great empathy for the customer and a clear passion for solving problems
- You are a quick thinker who is action-oriented and loves working in a fast-paced environment
- Have an ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- An ability to analyse data and provide insight back to the business to inform key decisions
Would be viewed favourably:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, drafting, engineering, or business
- Construction industry experience
- Technical building knowledge
