Job description

An exciting & challenging 12-month Fixed Term opportunity currently exists within our flagship brand team. This role is responsible for overseeing the holistic Product Marketing strategy for the Estee Lauder brand, including the development and execution of the brands’ long-term category and hero product strategy to enhance brand equity, drive market share and achieve sales & profit targets. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

Product Strategy and Forecasting:
•    Responsible for the development of the brand's Hero Product Strategy, category and sub-category goal setting and delivery,
•    Review global forecast bulletins and provide new launch recommendations for all channels including forecast, ranging, pricing, distribution to ensure marketing and brand objectives,
•    Provide strategic recommendations for the annual innovation calendar,
•    Work collaboratively with Product Manager, Demand Planning and Inventory Management in the development of the Demand Plan and make recommendations through brand, product forecasting and category analysis insights, taking into account WFA and BIAS benchmarks,
•    Work with Demand Planning and Inventory Management to ensure forecasts and shipping details are correctly aligned with marketing calendar and are shipped on time to meet on counter dates,
•    In conjunction with Retail Marketing and Online for each channel, conduct range reviews and make recommendations for discontinuations, additions, distribution changes,
•    Lead annual product pricing recommendations, seeking alignment with National Marketing Manager, BGM and regional, then cascading final info to relevant internal stakeholders (Commercial, CCH, TR),

Analytics and Tracking:
•    Lead the analysis of all critical data points including sell through performance, category and sub-category performance, market share, competitor activity and consumer insights, together with strategic recommendations,
•    Track hero product performance against agreed benchmarks and report accordingly
•    Track sell through of newness and manage any associated excess
•    Track competitor product innovation and procure samples for review where necessary

Management:
•    Support, mentor and develop the Product Marketing Manager and Executive,
•    In collaboration with the National Marketing Manager define and manage the relevant lines of the P&L,
•    Collate results for Regional/Global report as required, 
•    Prepare presentations and present at relevant internal and external meetings and conferences,


Qualifications

The successful candidate will need to be;

•    Analytical and innovative; able to seek out fresh ideas from a variety of sources. Unafraid to challenge the status quo.
•    Decisive, able to make sounds decisions despite uncertainty and pressure.
•    Proactive and positive approach in their approach, 
•    Superior stakeholder management skills, 
•    Degree qualified or equivalent working experience in Marketing and/or Supply Chain related principals,
•    Minimum 6 years’ Product Marketing experience in either luxury, beauty or FMCG,
•    Experience in strategic planning and execution
•    Superior working knowledge of  Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel.
