We are looking for a dynamic leader for this new team! In this role you will:
- Produce Waverley’s annual Civic Events program, and smaller scale events across the Local Government Area
- Manage the assessment and approval of filming and photography permits, commercial activations and external event requests.
- Modernise and innovate our events and processes, with a commercial mindset.
- Recruit and build a new team of two event officers that report to you.
- Manage numerous and at times complex stakeholders.
When assessing applications we will be on the lookout for:
- Professional event and leadership (people management) experience
- Examples of stakeholder management
- Understanding of event production and management /permits in Local Government or equivalent
- Flair and a passion for innovation
- Commercial mindset and budgeting skills
- Superb communication skills
