Civic Events, Permits & Production Lead

• Permanent Full-time – 35 hours per week
• Salary: $88,992 - $102,341 p.a. plus super

We are looking for a dynamic leader for this new team! In this role you will:

• Produce Waverley’s annual Civic Events program, and smaller scale events across the Local Government Area
• Manage the assessment and approval of filming and photography permits, commercial activations and external event requests.
• Modernise and innovate our events and processes, with a commercial mindset.
• Recruit and build a new team of two event officers that report to you.
• Manage numerous and at times complex stakeholders.

When assessing applications we will be on the lookout for:

• Professional event and leadership (people management) experience
• Examples of stakeholder management
• Understanding of event production and management /permits in Local Government or equivalent
• Flair and a passion for innovation
• Commercial mindset and budgeting skills
• Superb communication skills
