About the role
WesTrac is seeking an experienced Product specialist to join our team in either Tomago or Casula.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the Hydraulic Excavator product including market introduction, determining the suitability of the product, pricing and leading the development of promotional strategies by working collaboratively with our sales and marketing departments.
This role is a great step to getting into WesTrac if you are looking for career growth and stability. It will also provide you with exposure to multiple areas within the business including the implementation of strategies, enabling sales growth, ongoing technical training and much more.
This position is a full-time permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Business Development leadership, advice, and support to the sales team.
- Develop and implement technical training and support for the sales team.
- Manage the Machine consist of and stocking strategy.
- Effectively manage the relationships with respective Caterpillar contacts
- Monitor market share, sales activity and PIN results and report to management on a regular basis.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Marketing, Commerce, Finance, Business, or a technically related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience in a sales and product focussed role.
- Strong understanding of Product Management
- Comprehensive understanding of the Construction market, or the ability to adapt quickly.
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Sound understanding of effective sales strategy development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work successfully with a team and autonomously.
- Highly analytical with the ability to analyse data efficiently.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships throughout the business.
