Product Strategy Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Open Pit Mining Engineer to join a leading organisation in the mining software industry as a Product Strategy Manager.
This role offers an attractive salary and is based in Perth CBD. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, planning, and monitoring the execution of all key drivers of a product's success, both organic and inorganic, resulting in the Product Strategy.
What you'll do:
As a Product Strategy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of our product portfolio. You will be responsible for defining, planning, and overseeing the execution of all key drivers that contribute to a product's success. Your role will involve fostering and advancing our product vision by staying informed about global market trends, understanding our competitors' landscape, and identifying our clients' needs. You will also design, document, and model our product offerings while defining their positioning and messaging. Your leadership will be crucial in translating product strategies into detailed roadmaps while liaising with development teams throughout the software development cycle. Furthermore, you will define and lead our product release plans while evangelising our offerings both internally and externally. Lastly, your role will involve assisting in aligning sales tools to strategy components while coordinating Win-Loss analyses to inform on our current strategy's suitability.

• Foster and advance the product vision and market position by keeping abreast of global market trends, competitor landscape, and client needs.
• Design, document, and model the offering of products and services within the mining segment of the value chain.
• Define product positioning and messaging in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
• Lead the translation of product strategies into detailed road maps with Technical Product Managers and Product Analysts.
• Liaise with development teams to provide guidance during the software development cycle.
• Define and lead the delivery of product release plans.
• Evangelise offerings both internally and externally.
• Assist in aligning sales tools to strategy components.
• Coordinate Win-Loss analyses to inform the suitability of the current strategy.

As the Product Strategy Manager, you will bring a wealth of skills and experience to our team. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong leadership abilities. Your hands-on problem-solving skills and analytical thinking will be crucial in this role. We are looking for a team player who is not afraid to challenge herself when needed. You will hold a tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering or a related discipline and have deep domain expertise in open-pit mining. Ideally, you will have 10 years of combined experience across mining, corporate strategy, pricing, pre-deal mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and software product management.
