About the role
We are now inviting expressions of interest for a graduate position available within our Warehouse Operations team. This newly created role will report to the Warehouse Operations Manager and sits within a team that is responsible for managing the effective and efficient Warehouse Operations withing the Newcastle Distribution Centre, including receipt of goods, despatch, stocktake and returns. The warehouse staff over 100 team members and pick 170,000 lines per month for internal workshops and external customers. With this unique experience, you can see the direct outcomes of initiatives that you put in place, in a real-world environment. The position will be situated in our Tomago Branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the scoping, development, coordination, and completion of projects across the Distribution Centre and in collaboration with other business units
- Analysis of data and current processes to identify areas for improvement
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement
- Assist with collating collateral information for internal meetings
- Support the development and implementation of initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Nearing completion or having completed a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, commerce, engineering, or similar disciplines
- Understanding of the MS Office Suite and the ability to pick up systems quickly
- Excellent analytical, strong data-gathering and problem solving/decision making skills.
- Ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with internal and external customers
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
