Product Support Technician

CrewSELECT are supporting our client in their search for a Product Support Technician based north of the river in Perth.
About this role:
You will be providing technical support to the maintenance contract, undertaking investigation and analysis of specific problems associated with rolling stock and associated rolling stock components.
That will involve;

• Assisting in the Quality Inspections of incoming parts
• Supporting commissioning and delivery of new rolling stock
• Warranty support, modifications and overhauls to rolling stock as directed.
• Provide onsite training and upskilling of personnel regarding reliability solutions, technical support and troubleshooting advice for common issues/errors.
• Assist in compiling technical reports as part of data analysis for the Engineering Manager.
• Participate in fleet checks to identify ongoing issues/failures and severity of issue/failures to assist engineering team in providing solutions for improving issues/failures.

Role requirements are;

• Proven work experience in a similar role preferably within the rail industry.
• Experience in the investigation of failures with complex systems.
• Experience in performing non-destructive examination.
• Ability to implement change.

Qualifications required are;

• Tertiary or formal qualifications in Engineering, preferably electrical.
• Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification desirable
• Understanding of the Rail Safety Act & Regulations
