About the Role
Due to an exciting period of growth, we are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Production and Process Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role responsible for ensuring that our processes and operations (including Production and plant) support business objectives and customer requirements.
The Production and Process Engineer is responsible for developing production processes and workflows for optimal performance through each stage of design, fabrication and implementation. An important part of the role also is to drive continuous improvement and production/process evolution to respond to Production and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities of this important role include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Engineering Manager and R&D Team with design, development, testing production processes and plant processes as required;
- Development of new products, revisions to existing, control of stock levels, maintenance of build drawings and associated documents to ensure products and Process requirements are met;
- Ensuring customer needs are effectively understood and translated into Engineering plans, projects and build drawings that deliver on business and production needs;
- Ensuring products, process and procedures are designed and implemented in accordance with the Megabolt quality system;
- Supporting the maintenance team to develop maintenance and repair schedules and plans based on plant, equipment and production needs in accordance with our statutory and regulatory requirements; and
- Supporting improved business financial performance through implementation of product and Process improvements and efficiencies. This includes robotics and automation improvements.
About You
The successful candidate will come with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering or related discipline would be highly regarded.
A strong customer-focus combined with a strong drive for process improvement, innovation and development is also a key requirement along with a strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills to test, evaluate and review product performance.
The successful candidate will also come with well-developed communication skills as well as the ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team.
