About the Role
As a Production Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Process offshore orders, including order preparation, submission approvals and monitoring.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure orders are on time and correct. Maintain the production critical path for orders and coordinate production workflows, freight and inventory.
- Carry out quality control checks on goods received. Ensure products received meet quality standards and provide feedback to suppliers on quality levels.
- Process supplier invoices, provide feedback on pricing to suppliers, manage production team record keeping and the samples library, and other ad hoc duties as required.
- Support the local production team when required, including through issuing POs to suppliers, handling incoming stock and dispatch and coordinate delivery timeframes.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent attention to detail is essential for this role.
- Be organised, with strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
- A “can-do” attitude and positive outlook, with a focus on problem solving.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Preferably at least 1-2 years’ experience in an apparel production role and an interest in apparel production and design.
- Experience working with Adobe Illustrator is desirable.
