We are seeking an experienced Production Controller responsible for manufacturing and maintenance planning. Facilitate the effective daily, weekly and monthly planning schedules from requirements driven by the sales demand forecast and orders.

We are looking for a strong personality with experience in manufacturing, processing and or planning who is passionate about process improvement, and always looking for ways of improving the operational performance of the business.
About the Role
Key accountabilities include:
- Manage the production schedule to optimise production objectives and deliver customer expectations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- In conjunction with Team Leaders, identify and resolve operational issues in advance to avoid impact on production cycles
- Maintain plant capacity levels and identify potential future capacity and resource constraints
- Generate and release shop floor work packs
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans for all plant and equipment
- Plan and arrange preventive and reactive maintenance tasks with a view to minimise the impact on production
Key Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to satisfy the following position requirements:
- An Engineering degree or similar Trade qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within an engineering / manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles, including software and tools
- Strong Experience in managing maintenance programs
- Experience and clear understanding of lean principals and methodology
- Excellent computer skills including a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ability to plan ahead showing good attention to detail and follow through to ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
