THE OPPORTUNITY
Continued business growth has created an opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic Production & Despatch Operators to join the operations team based at Gepps Cross to manufacture and assemble products for our trade and retail customer base.
This is a full-time opportunity working day shift (7:30am to 3:36pm) overtime optional.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manufacturing and assembling of goods to the customers’ requirements
- Operating metal folding, roll form and pressing machines and general sheet metal equipment
- Operate forklift to load / unload materials, including picking and packing of Outback products
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with Team Members, other departments and projects
- Participate in training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Strict adherence to our critical safety rules & contributing to a safe working environment
ABOUT YOU
- Essential – Problem solving and inquisitive mindset to learn Stratco products
- Essential – Strength and fitness to undertake a frequent movement and lifting role
- Desirable - Forklift license & experience
- Desirable - Experience with sheetmetal manufacturing equipment (folders, press & breaks) will be highly regarded
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Sound awareness of safety standards and alertness of moving parts & people
- Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
