Who will you be working with? This role reports to the Production Engineering Manager
Where is the position located? This is a full-time role based in Welshpool
This role is responsible for developing sustainable, competitive, safe, ergonomic & environmentally correct manufacturing systems that contribute to the overall achievement of business goals and objectives.
What will your typical day look like?
- Collaborate with production to develop plans that improve production and meet budget objectives.
- Design and develop tooling to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance safety, reliability, quality, or labor reduction.
- Diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training to eliminate deficiencies.
- Evaluate production flow and facility usage and implement solutions to improve production efficiencies.
- Analysing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement.
What do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of Epicor or a similar ERP system
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma
- CAD Software Experience
- 3-Years’ experience in Engineering within the manufacturing industry is desirable.
