Production Estimator

About your Role:
- Work with the existing production estimation team
- Prepare Production Estimating duties in line with current price files
- Prepare tender documentation.
- Obtain Quotes
- Ensure documentation is compliant and satisfies building codes, guidelines, etc.
- Ensure our databases are updated as required.
- Assist Estimators in raising variations/ETS.
- Assist sales team and administration staff with any estimating queries.
- Cross-check production estimates prepared by other estimators for quality assurance.
- Provide high quality and accuracy in quotations and costing.
- Work towards and achieve agreed targets, KPI's and timeframes.
- Assist suppliers and construction team with estimating queries.
What we expect in the ideal candidate:
- Tertiary qualifications in building and construction or equivalent.
- Min 3-5 years' local experience in Production estimator role within residential building/construction industry.
- Understanding of general building terms, building regulations, codes, and various stages of the residential building process.
- Ability to read architectural, engineering documentation, soil test, etc.
- Intermediate computer skills, in particular, Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Prepare Bill of Quantities in Databuild and take off from Planswift
- Exposure to custom builds and unit developments will be an advantage
- Understanding of scheduling, forecasting, and planning principles within the residential building/construction industry.
