We're looking for a Production Executive to join us for the ride in this fixed term, 2-year role.
Reporting to the Head of Content Investment and nestled within VicScreen's dynamic Content and Talent team, the Production Executive will identify, develop and support original projects and talented practitioners. You'll have the opportunity to manage the delivery of screen industry funding, programs and initiatives, and assess and recommend production financing strategies for a range of projects – from feature films to dramas, comedies and documentaries for television and online audiences.
Being fluent in industry speak, you'll manage everything from funding applications to budgets, schedules, post-production and delivery. A trusted set of hands keeping Victorian content rolling.
WHAT YOU'LL BRINGYou'll bring extensive screen industry knowledge and experience along with (but not limited to):
- Industry Experience: Substantial and current experience as a Development and/or Production Executive (or equivalent), Producer or Key Creative, predominantly in film or television narrative drama, comedy and/or documentary, where duties have included demonstrated involvement in the creative development of screen projects and/or management of production activities including funding application, budgets, schedules, postproduction, and delivery. It is an advantage if this experience is in the area of drama content.
- Industry Financing knowledge: Substantial knowledge and/or experience of the screen industry, including financing and production practices and extensive knowledge of produced cinema, television, and online content.
- Distribution, Sales and Market Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of and/or experience in the national and international screen industry marketplace, with distributors, sales agents, broadcasters, and other acquirers of screen content.
