About the Role
Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel for the permanent position of Production Fitter (Lubrication) based at the Pioneer Mill, located near Ayr, Queensland. As a Production Fitter, you will be required to work following our day work production roster, you will be required to work some weekends and overtime when required. During the crushing season you will be responsible for helping to ensure the continuous running of fixed plant equipment and machinery, condition monitoring plant, lubrication analysis and assisting the maintenance team to carry out repairs and overhauls on a wide variety of fixed plant.
Primary responsibilities:
- Carrying out inspection of plant and equipment and providing condition reports
- Installation and monitoring of plant and equipment
- Fault-finding on plant and equipment
- Ensuring control systems are operating correctly and are adjusted accurately
- Maintain, reinstate, check and commission lubrication equipment as part of pre-season commissioning period
- Identify and install automatic greasing systems
- Manual greasing of any critical bearings or equipment; lubrication filter cart management and maintenance
- Entering notifications into our notification app on the IPad
- Participate and support the preventative maintenance programs.
- Complete procedural logs and maintenance requests.
- Assist other maintenance team members to repair faults.
- Ensure work orders and related permits are completed and filled out correctly.
- Operate in a work-based team environment and participate in other teams and panels as required.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Completed Certificate III Mechanical (Fitting/Maintenance) or (Fitting and Turning)
- A strong commitment to safety with involvement in safety/improvement teams
- Enthusiasm to learn new skills

- OH Gantry Crane
- EWP HRWL
