SalaryWe are a large Fruit & Vegetable Wholesaler/Processor in Melbourne's northern suburbs. We are a 24 hour per day operation, seven days per week.
We have a vacancy for a Food Production worker/Cook/chef for our night shift starting10pm-6am Sunday to Thursday.
Successful candidate will have:
- Good knife skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience in high Production Kitchens.
- Ability to work independently and in a small team of three.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment with time deadlines.
- Solid general kitchen knowledge.
- Experience in operating industrial kitchen equipment an advantage.
- HACCP knowledge a definite advantage.
- Initially employed on a casual basis with the strong possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.
- Off site parking with no time restrictions nearby and serviced by public transport (bus close by, train five minute walk).
Candidates can purchase personal fruit and vegetables at 50% of wholesale price and meat/seafood/limited grocery lines at a heavily discounted rate.
Renumeration is above award rates (on application) with attractive workplace conditions.
