AddressAirwell Group is a specialist water pump manufacturer and a provider of specialist water pumping services and solutions to the mining, environmental, industrial and agricultural sectors in Australia and overseas for 40 years. We are well recognised for providing quality products and services to the ground water pollution recovery space.
Due to ongoing high work volumes and staff movements we are seeking an experienced Production Manager for our manufacturing facilities in Malaga WA. This position will be offered as a full time permanent position.
Primary Activities:
- Responsible for the management, supervision and performance of the workshop/production areas.
- Manage production schedules and staff rosters to ensure manufacture and site works time frames are met.
- Maintain schedules and maintenance rosters for all major plant & equipment.
- Control flow of daily workshop documentation and check for accuracy and full completion.
- Conduct safety and production meetings with field and workshop staff.
- Assist the Draftsman/Engineer with establishment of new parts and equipment and creation/modification of Bills of Materials.
- Compliance with all WHSEQ policies and procedures.
- Manage the procurement of all goods and services.
- Key supplier management.
- Review and approval of BMS system and register entries.
- Attend and participate in monthly management meetings.
To be considered for this role, you will possess:
Essential
- Well organised and an excellent communicator.
- Previous experience in the management and supervision of staff.
- Experience in working within and to the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Experience in project management for small/medium projects
- Advanced computer skills
Highly Desirable
- 5+ years Production Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of stock inventory management systems.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external parties.
- Ability to promote and maintain a safety first approach to all work activities.
Desirable
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience with MYOB EXO for the control and management of stock and projects or similar systems.
- Forklift License (LF)
- Valid Australian Driver's License
