Our client is a privately owned ASX listed manufacturer and supplier of high quality FMCG product for non-human consumption. The largest player in their market, they continue to grow their market footprint due to the calibre of goods produced and continued investment.
About the role
The Production Manager role will support a site running 24/5 on rotating shift with a team of circa 18-20, with high volume production and distribution. Core components of the role will include:
- Driving the production schedule and ensuring key targets are met around production output and DIFOT
- Supporting CI initiatives across the site, centred around increasing throughput capability
- Monitoring the output and performance of plant operating equipment, collaborating with maintenance department to drive OEE
What we are looking for
- Demonstrated functional leadership experience within a manufacturing setting. Industry experience within Food/FMCG will be well regarded but also open to other experience such as automotive, industrial etc.
- Strong people leadership skills, ability to grow and develop internal talent to support professional growth and organisational needs
- Sound understanding of basic CI tools such as 5Why and fishbone to help drive production performance
- Cross-functional stakeholder engagement, working both up and down the organisational chain to ensure plant performance meets requirements outside of purely production output
- Ability to embed good OH&S practices at the heart of manufacturing
