HB Recruitment is currently seeking a dynamic and proficient, full-time Production Manager to join an established and expanding business based in Toowoomba.
This family-owned business specialises in delivering diverse construction solutions within the agricultural and commercial sectors, providing expertise in fencing, concreting, and plumbing.
As the Production Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and play a crucial role in ensuring that every piece of equipment leaving the workshop is primed for heavy-duty work in the field.

Key accountabilities include:
- Lead and empower a production team of 4 to consistently surpass production targets while prioritizing safety and quality.
- Develop and implement streamlined scheduling systems for incoming items, ensuring optimal workflow and on-time deliveries.
- Maintain quality standards through oversight and proactive problem-solving.
- Spearhead lean manufacturing initiatives to optimise processes, minimise waste, and maximise efficiency.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of innovative products and production techniques.
- Partner with the Stores Supervisor and Purchasing Manager to ensure seamless material flow and effective inventory management.
- Manage incoming supplies and outgoing finished products, maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Collaborate on building cost-effective material sourcing strategies and fostering strong vendor relationships.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, from team members to customers and senior management.
- Proactively share updates, address concerns, and build trust through open communication.
- Proven experience in production or fabrication management, ideally within the agricultural or manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and prioritise production tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on clear communication, delegation, and motivation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to impeccable quality standards.
- Proficiency in relevant scheduling and inventory management software.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies is highly desirable.
- A hands-on approach to problem-solving and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of production.
- Knowledge of and commitment to safety and compliance with all industry regulations.
