Production Nursery Hand

Established in 1987, Plantmark has proudly supplied quality plants and trees to the landscape, development, government, and retail nursery industries for over 35 years.

From tube stock to super advanced trees, we offer the largest range while maintaining the highest quality standards and competitive prices. Plantmark’s operations include one large-scale Production Nursery and seven Wholesale Trade Markets with sales and distribution in Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. 

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Manager, the role involves general nursery duties including potting, weeding, watering, plant maintenance, order collation and general nursery duties. Our Nurseries are located at Wantirna and Monbulk and travelling between sites is anticipated on a rostered basis.

The position is full time, working a five-day Monday to Friday roster. 

Plantmark offers a four week induction and training program, with face to face learning and online courses presenting a roadmap for success in the role.

To be successful as a Plantmark Nursery Hand, you will have:

• Plant knowledge
• Strong attention to detail
• Great work ethic and be a team player
• Ability to work effectively unsupervised
• Intermediate computer skills
• AgChem and forklift certificate preferred

Applicants must also be capable of performing regular heavy lifting tasks and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Some weekend work will be required on a rotational basis.
