Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Planner that work's closely with the Production team's and sales to ensure that we produce the right plants, at the right time, with the right quantity with the best quality.
Key to your success will be following systems and procedures to drive operational efficiency whilst ensuring internal and external customer requirements are met. This is a highly dynamic position that will suit a very organised and driven individual that has worked within a nursery or manufacturing environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production, stock prep and sales team to create and maintain detailed production schedules.
- Ensure that production kits are being adhered to through the production process
- Communicate supply plans and key information to stakeholders, highlighting potential challenges and proposing solutions
- Ensure that kits and routes , product recipes, theories are followed, executed and updated
- Identify and assess production capacity constraints and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to develop strategies for optimizing capacity while maintaining quality standards.
- Liaise with suppliers, sales team, vendors, and external partners to ensure the timely delivery of required materials and services.
- Assist in inventory management, ensuring that necessary materials are always available for production.
- Oversee the utilisation of resources and equipment, making recommendations for improvements when necessary.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, stock-prep and sales, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Ensure quality control measures and processes are followed through the plant life cycle across all departments
- Implement and monitor quality checks and inspections as required.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in production planning
- Experience working in quality desirable not essential
- Previous Plant Nursery experience desirable not essential
- Previous experience in the manufacturing desirable not essential
- Technically savvy with strong computer skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
- Forward thinker and have strong time management and organisational skills
- An analytical mindset with an ability to multitask
- Candidates must have reliable transport due to a lack of public transport in the area. A right to work in Australia
