HARDI Australia is currently seeking to appoint a qualified Production Process Engineer to its CAVAN based engineering team. The Production Process Engineer will report directly to the on-site Engineering Manager. The role will best suit an energetic production engineer who thrives on introducing exciting new products to Production.
Qualifications / Key Skills / Requirements
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in an Engineering Discipline preferred;
- Experience in an engineering / manufacturing based industry;
- Competency compiling and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs);
- Familiar with principles of hydraulic, structural, pneumatic, electronic and fluid engineering;
- An understanding of the principles of Design for Manufacture (DFM);
- Able to make comprehensively researched recommendations to the Engineering Manager when change is required;
- Thorough and clear documentation and report writing skills;
- Accountable for the handover of new products to Production; and
- Accountable for maintaining accurate records, process documentation, and technical reports.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the generation of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) for welding jigs and assembly procedures;
- Perform ‘Time in Motion Analysis’ for assembly procedures;
- Analysing and improving Production Processes to enhance efficiency and quality;
- Implementing quality control measures to ensure products meet industry standards and specifications;
- Facilitate smooth introduction of new products or processes; and
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly and fabrication areas as required.
