A Production Supervisor with solid experience in Earth Moving and Rehabilitation is required by Piacentini & Son for a FIFO even-time roster.
Piacentini & Son is a Mining and Earthmoving Contractor specialising in bulk earthworks, rehabilitation services, dry hire equipment, sales, heavy haulage transportation, mining and earthmoving services with over 1100 employees Australia wide.
We have been awarded the rehabilitation projects for Argyle Diamond Mine in the Kimberley region.
We have an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team, reporting directly to the Project Manager. The successful person will have responsibilities of supervising the running production on a 2:2 roster, back-to-back. The role oversees a range of operators and trades working in a fast-paced mining environment.
Responsible for managing and coordinating site production activities, this role includes:
- Prioritising, planning and delegation of earth moving and mining production tasks.
- Ensuring mining operations fall within legislative, contractual and industry guidelines.
- Supervise and enforce company OH&S policies and procedures.
- Delivering effective leadership and supervision through engagement, guidance, support and feedback to teams and individuals.
- Provide direction, advice and liaise with site supervisors, clients, other supervisors, employees, service personnel and contractors.
- Conduct induction and safety training to employees.
- Be proactive with continuous improvement processes.
Requirements:
- Recognised experience and qualifications in the mining and earthmoving industry.
- Proven experience in the supervision and management of personnel.
- Supervisor Training (in-house) or Section 44 Certificate are desirable.
- Effective planning ability, time management and prioritization skills
- Current C class drivers licence
- Ability to work under pressure
- Applicants must be able to pass fitness for work testing
- Good report writing skills and experience with Microsoft Office
- Full working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
