About Us
Our client is a local F&B manufacturing business that is going through a phase of growth and in turn looking to establish a systematic production policy in place that can be followed by all. If you are a Production Supervisor with Mechanical Aptitude, a curious mind, and a can-do attitude, then this role is for you. You will run the entire production floor and report to the owner.
About the Role
Reporting to the Owner of the business you will be responsible for

• Manage unplanned downtime through efficient equipment operation and preventative maintenance
• Manage a team of up to 10production workers
• Actively support the Quality & Environment strategy to inspire a food safety and quality culture
• Support a continuous improvement culture that encourages the importance of safety, quality and plant efficiency in all aspects of work
• Write SOP’s.
• Ensure regular communication of results and priorities, including daily production handovers through regular meetings
• Lead & manage the employment lifecycle (i.e. recruitment & selection, probation management, induction and training, performance management)
• Drive and own daily and weekly manufacturing performance to meet site KPIs.

About You

• Experience in the Food & Beverage manufacturing industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of managing safety and/or quality programs & processes
• Experience working with engineering and maintenance teams
• Mechanical aptitude is a must have
• Forklift license
• Knowledge of HACCP and GMP Procedures
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing requests while maintaining a culture of accountability and execution.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical/critical thinking
• Strong accountability, consistency, and follow-through skills
• Ability to hold employees accountable when not aligned with SBA’s core values, policies and procedures
• Proven safety champion
• Proven skills and experience in dealing with unions
