THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Production Technician based in our head office in Hindmarsh, Adelaide.
The Production Technician is responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of high-quality lighting products.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor your responsibilities are to:
- Assemble and manufacture lighting products as per defined processes and to set quality standards
- Perform tasks across different assembly stations as required
- Maintain basic records
- Perform quality checks and report any non-conformances
- Interface with Supply Chain for material handling of raw material and finished goods
- General housekeeping and upkeep of the production area
- Assist in the provision of on-the-job training, autonomously
- Work effectively in a team environment or individually under general supervision
- Understand and use measuring devices
- Machine setting, loading and operation
- Operation of appropriate material handling equipment (e.g., hand trolleys, pallet trucks)
- Basic machine/jig maintenance
- Proper packing away of finished goods, raw materials, and tools
- Perform duties in accordance with the organisation’s safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures and applicable statutory requirements
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is prepared to take on new challenges. You will have:
- A satisfactory completion of an internal dexterity test
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- Basic machine maintenance skills
- Ability to read and understand/follow standard operating procedures
- Soldering skills at an intermediate level – desirable
