The Role: As a valued member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in achieving daily build targets and contributing to our overall team objectives. Working closely with the Team Leader and your colleagues, you'll have the opportunity to assemble garage doors to the highest standards. With both day and afternoon shifts available, you'll enjoy regular employment in a supportive environment that prioritizes safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Team Leader and fellow team members to meet daily build targets and other key objectives.
- Execute assembly tasks meticulously by following detailed build instructions.
- Utilize the appropriate power tools with precision to ensure high-quality assembly work.
- Adhere strictly to written standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough quality checks by comparing assembly work to build instructions, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship.
- Utilize the correct tools and equipment for assembly and fitment activities, promoting efficiency and safety.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with other teams as needed to ensure seamless operations.
- Take initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement and actively participate in enhancing day-to-day business operations.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated familiarity with hand and power tools, with consideration given to all levels of experience.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills are essential for success in this role.
- Basic computer skills, or a willingness to learn, will be advantageous.
- Ability to follow written instructions and procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Physical fitness and readiness to perform manual work are prerequisites.
- Reliable transportation is essential for punctuality and attendance.
- Possession of an LF ticket is highly regarded.
- Previous dispatch experience is considered advantageous.
