The Role

• Continuing, Full Time
• Level E - $202,477 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
• Albury Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga (Off campus and/or flexible work arrangements available by negotiation)

As Professor of Indigenous Australian Studies, you will provide significant leadership through teaching and research and contribute to the administration, and strategic planning of the School, Faculty and University.
Duties in this area will include supervising doctoral students, mentoring early career staff, attracting research grants, and contributing high quality research outputs of both national and international standing.
To be successful you will have:

• Demonstrated leadership and significant experience in and comprehensive knowledge of Indigenous Australian studies discipline.
• A doctoral qualification, relevant to the discipline of Indigenous Australian Studies or equivalent accreditation and standing.
• A record of academic achievement of national and/or international standing through distinguished contributions, including academic leadership, to the scholarship of teaching and/or research/creative works or professional activity.
• Significant experience in and comprehensive knowledge of Indigenous Australian and/or interdisciplinary Indigenous Australian Studies and recognised as a leading authority at a national and international level.

The School develops and delivers compulsory foundation Indigenous Australian Studies to almost 3000 Charles Sturt University students enrolled in all undergraduate degrees and progressing the inclusion of compulsory subjects in post-graduate courses. The School develops research and consultancy links with local communities, institutions, services and agencies, together with national and international scholarly communities.
