Allied Health Program Assistant (Reception and Administration role) Permanent Part Time 64 hours per fortnight (4 days a week) $29.57 per hour
About the Role Grampians Health Ballarat is seeking an Allied Health Program Assistant to join our team in a permanent part time capacity, 4 days a week.
As a Program Assistant with us you have opportunity to support community members along their allied healthcare journey by providing first class customer service for our clientele and dedicated administration support to our clinical teams. You will be part of a small friendly team of “PA’s”, working collaboratively to achieve our goals.
The role offers variety, including “front of house” reception duties for our allied health programs at the Ballarat Base Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Centre (QEC), operation of the QEC switchboard, as well as work behind the scenes supporting departments with waitlist management, data entry, and other day-to-day tasks.

A Program Assistant who joins our team will:
be an excellent communicator, committed to providing customer service at the highest standard. This includes the ability to identify and solve problems constructively, listen, and relay information.
thrive in a fast-paced work environment, have good judgement, and be able to adapt with competing demands.
Previous experience in administration or customer service in a health environment will also be highly regarded.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police records check, immunisation clearance and Working with Children check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask. Additional PPE requirements are role-dependent.

Selection Criteria
Essential : Please outline your previous administration and customer service experience, and how you believe it sets you up for success in the role
Essential : Describe your understanding of privacy and confidentiality principles, including examples of how you have applied them in the workplace if possible
Essential : Please outline your knowledge and skills using the Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on MS Word) and your general experience/skills with computer software products and their application
Essential : Please describe an example of your work that illustrates your organisational skills and your ability to prioritise and work independently / with minimal supervision
Essential : Please provide an example that illustrates your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and your ability to develop and maintain relationships with members of the general public or stakeholders external to an organisation you've worked for.
Desirable : Do you have a certificate in business administration or similar qualification please detail?
Essential : Have you received three doses of a COVID19 vaccine? If no, please provide further detail regarding doses received, booking dates and/or other relevant information.
Essential : The successful candidate must hold, or be prepared to undergo, an employee Working with Children Check (WWCC). Please advise if you currently hold an employee WWCC, if not are you willing to undergo one?
