Job description

(HE06) $86,360 - $93,285 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

12 month part time (0.8 FTE) fixed term opportunity for a Program Coordinator to support the highly successful Women in STEM Careers (WiSC) program.

With the support of our industry sponsors, the University of Adelaide is in its 8th successful year of running the Women in STEM Careers (WiSC) Program which equips students with confidence, resilience and leadership skills to pursue successful careers in the growing fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. 

Working under general direction of the Manager, Careers Education and Industry Engagement the WiSC Program Coordinator provides significant contribution to developing, maintaining and delivering the highly successful WiSC program to current eligible university STEM students.

You will coordinate all operational aspects of the WiSC program, including student participation & involvement, stakeholder relationships, events, communications, reporting and other general tasks to ensure the program is delivered successfully and in line with the Division of Academic and Student Engagement (DASE) strategy.

To be successful you will need:

  • Proven experience in coordinating and executing events from conception stage through to completion and review, including supervision of university students, volunteers and staff.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Experience in coordinating and reviewing programs, initiatives and events with under general direction.
  • Experience in implementing plans to achieve defined outcomes, and solving problems in an innovative and creative manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral with the ability to communicate with a wide range of clientele including the ability to present or train industry, staff or student groups.
  • Demonstrated customer-centric values and the ability to nurture relationships
