One of our well-established logistics clients is looking for a dynamic Transport/Logistics Coordinator to help them manage their deliveries smoothly. Your main job will be to plan and coordinate deliveries in their local fleet, making sure everything happens on time and safely. It's a temporary full time contract role for 6 months with chance of converting to permanent based on performance.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and participate in safety measures.
- Support in the documentation, inquiry, and implementation of corrective measures for incidents, hazards, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Supervise the PUD Fleet in urban areas, ensuring daily collections are assigned and documented. Arrange additional capacity when necessary.
- Coordinate the collection and return of regional freight in South Australia, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up with carriers.
- Investigate and resolve any issues related to service or operations promptly.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all outgoing urban, long-haul, and regional freight shipments.
- Offer administrative assistance to Cross Dock and Transport Operations.
- Provide timely and precise communication.
- Maintain Delivery In Full, On Time (DIFOT) rates in accordance with agreed-upon targets.
- Ensure adherence to chain of responsibility regulations.
- Take responsibility for coordinating the local PUD fleet, along with overseeing deliveries from Victoria and New South Wales. Provide relevant information on customer issues to the Customer Care Team.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of domestic transportation.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of compliance and legislative requirements.
- Ensure satisfactory service delivery to both internal and external customers.
Experience Required
We are seeking applications from candidates who bring:
- Cert III in Logistics/ Warehouse Management. Higher School Certificate or its equivalent.
- At least five years of relevant work experience in a related field or industry.
- Familiarity with both urban and regional areas of South Australia.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
