Job description

  • $139,030 annual salary plus 15% superannuation
  • Full-time, ongoing position based in Canberra.

The Program Delivery Lead is accountable for the safe, effective and efficient delivery of the Program of Works and coordinates relevant materials and resources required in the field.

This role is required predominantly to lead in-field delivery of customer-initiated greenfield estate work. The team also delivers new HV (11kV) feeder installations and substation upgrades/replacements and provides resources for the connection and termination of new chamber substations to the network.

In this role you will also manage utilisation and performance of reporting staff and fleet, ensure training and leave compliance, develop working relationships with developers’ builders to successfully install electrical infrastructure to time and budget, and set a clear program timeframe for future projects while reporting on progress and performance of current projects.

A day in the life ...

  • Coordinating field staff, fleet, material acquisition, third parties, network outages, and other day to day site requirements to achieve project scope delivery.
  • This role offers a mixture of site and office-based location flexibility, with autonomy to determine the most appropriate split whilst meeting various stakeholder needs.
  • Contributing to accurate and competitive project delivery estimates and resource requirements
  • Effectively forward plan and communicate daily works to ensure field staff are aware of expected output for the day/week.
  • Coordination with Design and Project Management resources to scope projects prior to initiation and provide inputs to cost estimates and unit rate development.

About you

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology 
  • ACT Driver’s Licence or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in managing contractor performance and compliance
  • Demonstrated experience in electricity distribution (desirable).
  • Sound knowledge & experience in project management practice and site management
  • Proven ability to lead a field team with positive and productive influence.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to influence staff and stakeholders
