The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
- Providing strategic and high level technical advice to senior executive;
- Managing complex ICT projects and business processes within a Program of work in accordance with the Department's ICT project management framework and methodologies;
- Assuming responsibility in key areas such as risk and issues management, requirements management, and release management, including escalation as appropriate;
- Liaising with ICT operational, relevant business areas and other project areas for the controlled progression of projects through Departmental environments, including detailed planning and management of the major release deployment including over weekends where appropriate;
- Undertaking high-level stakeholder consultations including cross agency clients/customers;
- Effectively managing relationships with stakeholders - both business and ICT;
- Identifying and managing inter-project dependencies;
- Assisting with the management of staff performance, reporting and evaluation;
- Managing Program budgets and preparing Program financial forecasts and managing Program schedules;
- Managing the production application environments to maintain system health where appropriate;
- Driving and delivering innovation to meet broader Departmental requirements;
- Providing strategic guidance, leadership to team members including developing, coaching and mentoring junior or less experienced staff to ensure appropriate skills transfer.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Program Manager working in large organisations.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with other members of the program management team, senior managers, project teams, and external stakeholders as part of a high profile program.
- Experience in conducting program scheduling, including identifying and setting milestones, dependencies, critical path and transition into service and ability to produce high quality documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in risk mitigation in order to deliver outcomes.
- A good understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies in a government environment.
- Experience in identifying, planning and coordinating a set of related projects within a program of business change and ability to manage their interdependencies in support of the strategic direction.
