Job description

The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, housing, community initiatives and regional services reform.

The opportunity:

The Priority Projects and Program Management Office (PP&PMO) drives the delivery of the State Government’s high-profile investments in social housing and infrastructure, aligned to Ministerial priorities to address community need.

The Directorate is responsible for the: 

  • Delivery of Priority Projects which are bespoke, single site, high value projects that have both capital works and commissioning elements and require collaboration across Communities, other agencies and external service providers. 
  • Delivery of Priority Programs which are complex, high volume capital programs that also deliver socio-economic benefits to communities.
  • Oversight of Communities’ Asset Investment Program (AIP) assurance functions including reporting, governance and program controls including expenditure, schedule and risk.

The PP&PMO currently has two vacancies to fill immediately and are also seeking to establish a pool of suitable candidates to be part of the dedicated, multidisciplinary, and high skilled team. The pool will be established to fill Level 8 Program Management positions.

This is a recruitment pool for permanent and fixed term, full time and part time opportunities with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency, as they arise over the life of the pool. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which will be valid for five years. Appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies that arise across the Department of Communities.
