Job description

(HEO7) $95,017 - $106,270 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.Full Time | Fixed Term position for 12 months.

The SET Faculty are seeking a Program Manager who possess high-level interpersonal and communication skills to provide executive officer level support and management of activities required to implement legislation, codes of practice, policies and guidelines across the research ethics, compliance and integrity portfolio.

This unique position will sit within CROSSING, a joint international research lab between the CNRS (The French national science agency), IMT-Atlantique (France), the University of Adelaide, UniSA, Flinders University and Naval Group. The incumbent will be responsible for providing effective professional and specialist advice and support, to a range of CROSSING activities and affiliated organisations.

To Be Successful You Will Need

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality advice, including to researchers, committee members, senior managers and members of the public.
  • Understanding of the University sector and of related structures and processes in a research-oriented field.
  • Demonstrated reliability in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Demonstrated high-level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and judgement, instigate and undertake tasks with minimum supervision and work effectively both independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated capacity to evaluate and interpret complex rules, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of software applications including the Office suite, internet browsers, and research management information systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience with European funding schemes and research organisations
Qualifications
  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Experience in ethics and compliance administration, including interpreting relevant rules, guidelines and legislation (desirable).
