Access theKey responsibilities
- Interpret and apply financial policies and procedures as they apply to the delivery of infrastructure projects to provide advice and best practice solutions.
- Prepare financial documentation in line with project business rules e.g. Journals, invoicing, requisitions and purchase orders, create and manage new contract creation, financial approvals, QLeave and invoice processes, and end of month reporting.
- Lead and coordinate Program Support Officers to provide a range of timely project support, governance, and administration activities.
- Establish through consultation local procedures covering project finance and develop and deliver training to team members and local project managers.
- Implement governance measures and undertake quality checks to ensure compliance and reduce errors.
- Collate, monitor, and report on the performance and status of program/project and administrative support activities.
- Comply with the WH&S Act, Regulations and Departmental policy.
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- Experience in successfully managing the financial components of projects by applying detailed knowledge of accounting concepts and processes as they relate to internal and external reporting.
- Demonstrates insight into issues by analysing the available information in a critical manner and evaluates possible solutions taking appropriate steps to mitigate risks.
- Experience in collaborating and engaging others to embrace change, and shares and seeks ideas, suggestions and data to inform the delivery of services.
