Role overview:
The Programs and Partners Manager NSW is an integral part of the NSW Chapter, responsible for performing duties associated with serving NSW Members through the development and implementation of programs, sponsor partnerships and with communications to support the Chapter in achieving the Institute’s strategic objectives. These programs include awards, prizes, publications, events and CPD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Executive Director NSW and other relevant stakeholders to contribute to strategies for the State, in line with the overall business strategy, to drive member engagement and relevance of services provided to Institute members
- Lead delivery of programs including awards, prizes, events and CPD, and develop and deliver additional programs that meet identified needs of NSW members
- Oversee the successful delivery of the NSW prizes program and Student Architect Awards
- Provide strategic communications support to advance the profile and activities of the NSW Chapter and the Institute among key stakeholder groups, including members, industry, government, and the general public
- Provide other strategic support to the work program of the Executive Director NSW, Chapter President, Chapter Council, Committees, Task Forces and Working Groups, as directed by the Executive Director NSW.
- Oversee the successful delivery of the Chapter’s program of events
- In close liaison with the Executive Director NSW, develop an engaging, impactful program of events for NSW members
- Oversee the successful delivery of national programs at the Chapter level, including the Architecture Awards, Emerging Architect Prize and tour, and the Gold Medal tour, working closely with the National Awards and Events team
- Develop and implement communications strategies and activities to support all Chapter activities and increase the Institute's public profile in the NSW context
- In close liaison with the Executive Director and National Partnerships team, ensure that all Chapter sponsorships are professionally administered, including prospects identification, sponsor liaison and recognition, invoicing, accounts reconciliation and recordkeeping
- Provide Institute representation and support to the NSW Editorial Committee
Key Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in business development, communications, and/or project management, preferably in a peak body or membership association
- Experience in administration, membership services, event management or project delivery
- Experience in working with or an understanding of the architecture and built environment sector
- Experience in working with corporate sponsors through all stages of the sponsorship lifecycle (i.e. identification, proposals, sign-up, servicing and support)
- Experience in the delivery of education/training and/or member programs an advantage
- Experience in or a strong understanding of a professional association’s awards program would be highly regarded
- Experience in working with financial management and project budgets
