Our client is a highly successful, large scale property developer who require an dynamic and driven Project Accountant to join their growing team.
As Project Accountant, you will partner with the Development Team and the Project Analyst team to ensure that project accounting is completed in a timely manner. The key to your success will be the business partnering relationship you will build across the business, coupled with a true understanding of the financial drivers within a property development business.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
- Ensure that project GL reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and all items requiring further investigation or resolution are dealt with accuracy;
- Control of the general ledger across all projects including preparation of general journals, cost transfers and revenue adjustments;
- Assist with preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts;
- Provide accurate reporting for JV and partner tracking of project costs;
- Work alongside external consultants to meet tax, compliance, and audit obligations;
- Work with the operational teams to ensure debtor and creditor balances are being managed on an ongoing basis;
- Ensure all ledger balances are maintained to the highest standards;
- Take a key role in analytics and tracking during project settlements.
- Possess 5+ years of proven experience in accounting as well as a CA/CPA qualification;
- Experience within the Property Development industry and Financial Services is highly regarded;
- Basic understanding of Business Central Accounting System preferred but not required;
- High degree of digital competence including all Microsoft Office applications;
- Have a high level of personal motivation and commercial acumen;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
