Project OfficerPortfolio Assets

  • Salary Range: $92,332 - $104,762 (plus superannuation)
  • Ongoing, Full time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual Work Location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)

The Role

This position is responsible for supporting the strategic implementation plan for the management of Victoria's creative facilities, buildings and key creative precincts and clusters.

The responsibilities of the Project Officer will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development, implementation and review of Creative Victoria's Asset Management System processes and procedures, aligning funding programs such as the Cultural Facilities Maintenance fund to improve CV's asset maturity.
  • Assist with management of the implementation of the Asset Management Accountability Framework, including providing guidance and oversight of the Creative Victoria portfolio agencies to protect the State's assets.
  • Assist with the management of Creative Victoria's Property Management portfolio, including developing and maintaining relationships with key creative agency and tenant stakeholders and provide relevant information and advice about asset management and property management.

The Team

This position sits within the Strategy and Delivery branch. This branch brings Creative Victoria's programs and investment in support of artists, creative workers, creative organisations and businesses, and portfolio agencies, together with our work to improve access to affordable space and deliver world-class creative infrastructure. This branch also leads on policy and strategy for the Creative State.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Analytical and conceptual: Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably or can identify when to escalate; uses analytical and conceptual skills to reason through issues; identifies and develops workable/appropriate solutions to problems/issues. strong attention to detail.
  • Creativity and innovation: Thinks at the big picture level; entertaining wide-ranging possibilities in developing a vision; synthesises relevant information from a range of sources to identify new ideas and ways of doing things.
  • Policy skills: Formulates and communicates policy options and recommendations; ability to research; keeps up to date with cultural agencies and a broad range of contemporary issues; understands the operation of Government and has experience with Ministerial and Cabinet briefing processes.
  • Written and verbal communication: Demonstrated drafting/editing skills; conveys ideas and information in a clear way; understands and meets the needs of the target audience; comfortable with a broad range of formats (eg briefs, reports, etc) and ensures appropriate style and formats are used. Clearly understands the target audience and the objectives of the communication.
