The Collie Delivery Unit (CDU) drives, leads and coordinates initiatives and efforts across the WA Government to support the town of Collie as it transitions from its reliance on the coal industry and diversifies its economy. The CDU's approach is driven by the internationally recognised "Just Transition" framework and includes close engagement with the Collie community and key stakeholders such as State Government agencies, local government, employers, industry and unions as part of its work.
The importance and focus of the CDU's work has increased with the June 2022 announcement that State-owned coalfired power stations in Collie will be retired by 2030.
About the Role
This role is based in Collie and provides Project and Administration support to the CDU as part of the State Government’s activities to diversify Collie’s economy.
This role supports and coordinates the implementation, administration, review and evaluation of projects, initiatives and their related activities, including contracts. Responsibilities and duties also include local stakeholder and community engagement, management of information, planning and carrying out research and projects relevant to the unit.
A valid “C” class drivers licence will be required as some travel will occur on an ad-hoc basis.
