Thermoforming Machine Operator – Plastic Production Worker

We are a long-standing Central Coast, NSW, based manufacturing company looking for a Thermoforming Machine Operator. We are an equal opportunity employer.
You will operate and maintain a Thermoforming Machine, performing machine setup for production runs, meet production and quality targets. You will also be able to communicate production and quality issues and complete required documentation.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Complete mould changes and machine setup
- Start up and shut down the Thermoforming machine unassisted
- First piece inspection, recognising heating/cooling issues
- Production runs, with an understanding of production targets
- Inspect finished product quality, with an ability to differentiate between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ quality. Giving feedback during this process
- Understand and accurately complete required paperwork, including quality and production logs.
- Good problem-solving skills and an ability to troubleshoot issues
- Demonstrate team mentality with a can-do attitude.
Requirements:
A willingness to learn and be trained in machine operation. Understanding the relationship between heating and cooling to achieve accurate quality parts.
Ability to communicate with all members of staff in a professional manner
Knowledge and use of general hand and power tools.
Prior knowledge and experience as a Machine Operator. It would be advantageous to have prior plastic moulding experience
Shift work
