Project Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, articulate and document project briefs and proposals to deliver innovative, functional design solutions and high-quality project outcomes that respond to client needs. 
  
• Apply and maintain a working knowledge of the NCC requirements, Australian Standards and other applicable legislation, codes of practice and compliance. 
  
• Research, develops and applies contemporary and emerging design trends in relation to work undertaken. 
  
• Provide effective technical design solutions. 
  
• Oversee / prepare both hand drawn and CAD documentation for projects as required. 
  
• Within the framework of Quality Management, we take personal responsibility for awareness and compliance with all procedures, standards, practices and policies, including accurate and timely record keeping and filing. 
  

Qualifications and Expert Criteria 

• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture (essential) 
  
• High-level CAD and Revit skills essential) 
  

Technical Skills 

• Capability to respond to client needs and reflect these in the development of project briefs, proposals and design solutions.
  
• Good design skills and an understanding of contemporary and emerging design trends and concepts across commercial and residential sectors. 
  
• The ability to document technical design solutions and prepare project schedules and specifications. 
  
• Ability to effectively communicate design solutions in graphic and written media. 
  
• Good working knowledge and understanding of the statutory framework within which buildings are procured. 
  
• Good presentation skills. 
  
• Good written communication skills (e.g. letters, reports, proposals etc).
  
• Competency in CAD (particularly Revit).
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

• Capacity to work co-operatively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and colleagues.

• Good interpersonal, communication and consultation skills. 
  
• Demonstrated an ability to maintain confidence. 
  
• A continuous improvement mindset that extends to your work and contribution to the development of staff, processes and standards in practice.
