- Apply and maintain a working knowledge of the NCC requirements, Australian Standards and other applicable legislation, codes of practice and compliance.
- Research, develops and applies contemporary and emerging design trends in relation to work undertaken.
- Provide effective technical design solutions.
- Oversee / prepare both hand drawn and CAD documentation for projects as required.
- Within the framework of Quality Management, we take personal responsibility for awareness and compliance with all procedures, standards, practices and policies, including accurate and timely record keeping and filing.
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture (essential)
- High-level CAD and Revit skills essential)
- Capability to respond to client needs and reflect these in the development of project briefs, proposals and design solutions.
- Good design skills and an understanding of contemporary and emerging design trends and concepts across commercial and residential sectors.
- The ability to document technical design solutions and prepare project schedules and specifications.
- Ability to effectively communicate design solutions in graphic and written media.
- Good working knowledge and understanding of the statutory framework within which buildings are procured.
- Good presentation skills.
- Good written communication skills (e.g. letters, reports, proposals etc).
- Competency in CAD (particularly Revit).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong focus on customer needs and requirements.
- Capacity to work co-operatively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and colleagues.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team within the management framework, culture and ethics of practice.
- Good organisational skills, including the ability to meet required timelines.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal, communication and consultation skills.
- Demonstrated an ability to maintain confidence.
- A continuous improvement mindset that extends to your work and contribution to the development of staff, processes and standards in practice.
- Comply with all policies and procedures in relation to workplace health and safety, including reporting any work-related injury, illness or hazard as reasonably practical.
