The Opportunity

Step into the role of a Project Associate within our Australian Team and become an integrated part of our daily business operation of the Copenhagen Energy Group. The position is based out of our office in Perth, Western Australia, and focuses on project development specifically related to the active development of offshore wind projects. Your contributions as a Project Associate are greatly appreciated and play a pivotal role in driving the core success of our company.

In your role as Project Associate you would gain an exciting perspective into the world of renewable energy, and build project related expertise.

We are in search of a Project Associate who possesses precision, thoroughness, and the capability to confidently manage a diverse range of responsibilities integral to the project development of our offshore wind farm projects. Your role will encompass actively participating in project development, contributing to documentation and communication efforts, engaging collaboratively in stakeholder meetings, and providing essential administrative support. This multifaceted position offers a unique opportunity to help build the renewable energy sector in WA, and develop exceptional skills while navigating various dynamic challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Project planning and coordination: You will collaborate with internal teams on project planning including project plans, timelines and milestones.
  • Documentation and reporting: Assist in the preparation, review and upkeeping of project documents and records.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Facilitate communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders. Assist with presentations and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Communication initiatives: Take part in public relation initiatives by creating and publishing press and social media content through various platforms.
  • Administrative support: You will provide essential day-to-day administration support to the team and assist with various ad hoc tasks, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant academic background: Currently enrolled in bachelor level or masters level program. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, science, project management, renewable energy).
  • Experience Managing Projects: Proven experience in project management or coordination.
  • Academic writing: Strong writing skills are crucial for this role. It is essential that your writing skills are well developed. You should have the ability to create works that read well and be able to compose documents tailored to diverse audiences
  • Fast-pasted Environment: Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, combined by strong organization and communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Presentable professional presence with the ability to engage with others, fostering positive and meaningful interactions
  • Language proficiency: Exhibit professional proficiency in English, enabling effective communication within our international team.
  • Software proficiency: Relevant experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Location and Availability: You are able to fill a full-time working relationship from our office location in Perth.

Copenhagen Energy is a Danish renewable energy developer with significant experience in developing offshore and onshore wind, solar PV, and battery storage in Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, The Philippines and Australia. We have a team in Perth who have been developing a portfolio of four offshore wind projects in Western Australia. Our principal aim is to drive the global transition to sustainable energy solutions.
