Based in Brisbane, Queensland and reporting to the procurement manager, the Project buyer is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and managing the procurements of goods, materials and services required for specific projects with and part of the procurement team with product category managers based in France, India and NZ. The Project buyer will perform an integral hands-on role and works in cross-functional teams and worldwide geography with project director, project managers, suppliers, engineering, procurement team and other external/internal stakeholders to drive impactful initiatives that result in reduced supply-risk, increased supply-agility, and project savings.
About the Role & Client (300 characters max):
You will Lead efforts, within a cross-functional team, to identify, source and qualify suppliers and materials for projects (RFI) within a timely manner - - Tracking project budgets and expenses to ensure within approved limits Developing and maintaining accurate records. Project completion timeframes and costs kept up to date and accurate Accurate and up-to-date project reporting and documentation of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information. Monitoring supply chain risk exposure throughout the project execution phase and supporting the implementation of appropriate mitigation plans.
