Project Controls Lead - Decommissioning

This opportunity will see you join a reputable company with a highly experienced team who work together to develop and provide solutions for our customers. This position will deliver scopes of work associated with the decommissioning, cleaning and removal of offshore assets within the Bass Strait. Based in Victoria, and reporting to the Senior Project Manager – Decommissioning you will be responsible for delivery of all scope pertaining but not limited to, estimating and estimate development, scheduling and schedule development, project budget development and budget management using Project Controls methodology, quality system compliance, timely reporting and report development and all associated project delivery requirements as specified to meet client contractual requirements.
About You
As a key member of the team, your leadership skills will ensure that all work meets the standards in relation to safety, quality, schedules, cost and delivers to project milestones. You will ideally have the following:

  • Advanced level knowledge of Primavera P6 and SAP
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products: Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications preferred but not essential
  • Quality Management systems knowledge and understanding
  • Sound knowledge of safety, quality, construction or maintenance procedures and requirements
  • Significant experience managing and leading teams
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision making and negotiating skills
  • Ability to prioritise, plan, organise and drive schedule
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative and positive manner
  • Strong client focus and a genuine desire to assist team members
Desirable / preferred skills
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multi-disciplined project teams, labour teams, staff and equipment
  • Ability to lead a diversified team
  • An eye for detail and accuracy with numbers is essential
  • Demonstrated analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills, with a demonstrated ability to work to deadlines, set priorities, and work under pressure
