Natural Areas Officer – up to 12 months contract
- Salary $88,557.35 - $102,727.05 p/a + super
- Up to 12 months contract – 35 hours per week

Located 16 km’s north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 127,000 residents and is set in one of New South Wales’ most attractive natural environments.

This role will see you form part of the Natural Areas team, ensuring effective Natural Areas management within the Ku-ring-gai area.
Reporting to the Team Leader Natural Areas, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing, developing and implementing policies, strategies and programs
- Preparing and reviewing environmental assessments relating to Council activities
- Developing and administering Council’s fauna monitoring programs
- Working collaboratively with others to embed Natural Areas management principles and practices across Council's services, facilities and operations
Required experience & skills
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and / or substantial experience in a similar role
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of environmental legislation
