About the team
As the Project Coordinator, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Project Delivery group for the East Region.
The Projects Group has responsibility is responsible for efficiently managing capital projects on the V/Line network, either directly or in collaboration with external delivery organisations.
Your responsibilities include overseeing projects from inception to commissioning, which involves:
- Design Review and Changes: Collaborating with the Change Control Board to ensure effective design modifications.
- Time and Cost Control: Managing project schedules and costs.
- Client and Delivery Interactions: Facilitating communication between V/Line and external stakeholders.
Your contribution will be vital in ensuring successful project outcomes.
About the role
Working in the Projects function, the purpose of this role is to support the Program Director and each of their Project Managers in monitoring and tracking project deliverables and outcomes.
You will be responsible for preparing preliminary reports related to budget, schedule, and resource allocation for major projects. These reports play a crucial role in ensuring efficient project delivery.
This role is also responsible for providing operational support, including monitoring project progress, assisting with program and project coordination, and governance implementation.
About you
Five or more years' experience in project administration or project management, preferably within rail or transport.
Project Management applications and theory certifications are desirable.
Your proficiencies include:
- Project Management Knowledge: Familiarity with methodologies and frameworks.
- Software and Tools: Demonstrated experience with project management software, document creation, scheduling, and financial management.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
- Adaptability: Flexibility in handling changing project deadlines, priorities, and requirements.
- Collaboration: Effective teamwork in multidisciplinary, fast-paced environments.

This position will be paid in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2019.
